Press Release: "Color Our World" at the Lawrence County Public Library

(Moulton, AL) – June 16, 2025 – The summer just got more colorful! Join the Lawrence County Public Library as we celebrate the 2025 summer reading theme, Color Our World, from July 8 through July 29.

Summer Reading Program 2025 Schedule

Children from toddlers to seventh grade are invited to register at the library beginning June 23 through July 3 to receive a reading log and earn prizes during the month of July. The program kicks off at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, July 8 at the Moulton Middle School Gym for all participants.

All summer reading events are free and will be held Tuesday afternoons at 2:00 PM at the MMS Gym.

Families that read together succeed together. Children who read during the summer build critical reading skills, while those who do not may experience the “summer slide”—a learning loss that affects millions of students each year. Teachers often spend weeks re-teaching material students lose during the break.

The Lawrence County Public Library is here to keep learning fun, engaging, and hands-on through presenters, themed events, and rewards that keep kids motivated.
